St. Regis Wedding Photographer – Detail Album

The end of summer, beginning of fall, tends to be the busiest time of year for a wedding photographer. Along with weddings, engagement sessions, appointments, post processing work, and album design, I will often design an album for the event coordinator or wedding designer as well. The following album is from a wedding I photographed just recently at The St. Regis, Monarch Beach and I designed it for one of my favorite wedding designers, Paula Laskelle of Champagne Taste. You will see that this album has the usual bride and groom pictures, but it also highlights many of the beautiful details from this event. The amazing floral design was done by Nisie at Enchanted Florist and it is always a pleasure to work with Kelly Odell, catering manager at the St. Regis. One of the highlights of the evening was the Three Waiters. They were a surprise for the bride from the groom. Eric and Stacy were a beautiful couple and as you will see below, they had a gorgeous wedding.

Wedding Season – Suite M Photography

So I haven’t blogged in a little while, but it’s not because I haven’t been photographing. In fact quite the opposite. This is my busiest time of the year and I have been in the midst of weddings and album designs. I have two more weddings the next two weekends and then I get a little break. That being said, I still plan on blogging most of these events. The locations you can look forward to seeing from this stretch of weddings includes weddings from: The Ritz Laguna Niguel, the Island Hotel – Newport Beach, St. Regis – Dana Point, Marriott – Newport Beach, the Waterfront Hilton – Huntington Beach, and Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. I can’t wait to show you some beautiful brides, handsome grooms, and awesome wedding venues and details.

Jones Victorian Estate Wedding – Jennifer & David

The love was in the details in this wedding, and everyone including the groom knew it. Needless to say, the bride, Jennifer, is very detail oriented. (She would be a great wedding coordinator). From the unique idea for a guest book to the wreath on the gate, the donations to a cancer organization (David is a cancer survivor) to the tribute to Michael Jackson during the reception, every detail was so unique and so well thought out. And with the help of coordinator, Michelle Gregory, guests enjoyed a simple, yet absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. It was my pleasure to photograph Jennifer and David’s wedding, which was located at the Jones Victorian Estate in Orange, CA. The floral design was done by Flower Allie and Purple was their color of choice (which is a great color to photograph). The wedding party was so nice and I had a fun time hanging out with David and the groomsmen before the wedding at a sports bar where we watched World Cup Soccer (David played soccer at SMU). What a great day. I was so fortunate to be a part of it.

Laguna Beach Engagement Session – Auburn & Tommy

Auburn and Tommy met in Newport Beach at a Sushi bar about 4 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. You can definitely see the love they have for each other in some of the pictures below. I can’t wait for their wedding in Dana Point next month. Auburn is my wife’s cousin so this wedding is extra special to us. We are glad to do our part in the big day and wish them all the best in their new life together.

Orange County Engagement Session – Lindsay & Eric

So romantic. So sweet to each other. Heavy hearts. For many of the pictures I was feeling black and white, but some oozed color. Classical lines and form. Structure. Thanks Lindsay and Eric. I had a great time.
