Hello and welcome to the Suite M Photography Blog. My name is Brian Hamilton and I am the owner and head photographer for the studio. The purpose of this blog is to not only show you more of my work, but also to allow an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about me and the wonderful people that work for Suite M.
Suite M Photography, formerly Marsyla's Studio, has been in business over 25 years. It was started by renowned wedding photographer Russ Marsyla and his wife Sandra. Russ and Sandra chose an ideal location for their business. We are located right next door to one of the largest wedding dress retailers in the country, mon Amie Bridal Salon. Throughout the years Marsyla's Photography has taken pictures of thousands of weddings and events.
My wife and I, looking to expand our small photography business, purchased Marsyla's Studio. As a result of this purchase, the studio went through a name change. We chose Suite M Photography for several reasons. First, we are located in Suite M. Second, in order to honor Russ and Sandra and the legacy that they have built, we wanted to establish the M (as in Marsyla) as a significant letter. You will notice on our website that all of the tabs begin with an "M." And lastly we noticed that many things we enjoy in our lives begin with an M, for example: marriage, music, movies, memories, and moments.
If you have any questions at all, please contact me or one of my staff members. I look forward toward meeting you.
So I haven’t blogged in a little while, but it’s not because I haven’t been photographing. In fact quite the opposite. This is my busiest time of the year and I have been in the midst of weddings and album designs. I have two more weddings the next two weekends and then I get a little break. That being said, I still plan on blogging most of these events. The locations you can look forward to seeing from this stretch of weddings includes weddings from: The Ritz Laguna Niguel, the Island Hotel – Newport Beach, St. Regis – Dana Point, Marriott – Newport Beach, the Waterfront Hilton – Huntington Beach, and Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. I can’t wait to show you some beautiful brides, handsome grooms, and awesome wedding venues and details.
What can I say other than it was a beautiful wedding; the flowers, the location, the people, the food, and of course Auburn and Tommy. I feel so fortunate to be a part of their day.
Enjoy!
The love was in the details in this wedding, and everyone including the groom knew it. Needless to say, the bride, Jennifer, is very detail oriented. (She would be a great wedding coordinator). From the unique idea for a guest book to the wreath on the gate, the donations to a cancer organization (David is a cancer survivor) to the tribute to Michael Jackson during the reception, every detail was so unique and so well thought out. And with the help of coordinator, Michelle Gregory, guests enjoyed a simple, yet absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. It was my pleasure to photograph Jennifer and David’s wedding, which was located at the Jones Victorian Estate in Orange, CA. The floral design was done by Flower Allie and Purple was their color of choice (which is a great color to photograph). The wedding party was so nice and I had a fun time hanging out with David and the groomsmen before the wedding at a sports bar where we watched World Cup Soccer (David played soccer at SMU). What a great day. I was so fortunate to be a part of it.
Here are just a few of my favorites. Check out the slideshow at the bottom of this post that shows some of the details.
Enjoy!!!

I look forward to the next time we work together. I think it was that twins connection.
Sincerely,
Brian
Auburn and Tommy met in Newport Beach at a Sushi bar about 4 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. You can definitely see the love they have for each other in some of the pictures below. I can’t wait for their wedding in Dana Point next month. Auburn is my wife’s cousin so this wedding is extra special to us. We are glad to do our part in the big day and wish them all the best in their new life together.
Here are some of my favorites from the session.
So romantic. So sweet to each other. Heavy hearts. For many of the pictures I was feeling black and white, but some oozed color. Classical lines and form. Structure. Thanks Lindsay and Eric. I had a great time.
I had the pleasure of photographing Niko and Karl’s wedding at the St. Regis recently. They had a gorgeous wedding and I wanted to first thank all of the awesome vendors that made the event so beautiful: Ruth Wang (coordinator) Behind the Scenes, Kelly Odell (catering manager) St. Regis Monarch Beach, and Jen K (floral design) Jen K Floral Design. I also wanted to thank my second shooter, John Loyola and my amazing assistant Tricia Blough. So much thought, time, and of course money went into the details from this event. I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate a slide show to some of the details which made this wedding unique.
Enjoy!!!
